See some of the most beautiful castles and palaces of Denmark as you visit Frederiksborg Castle (now the Museum of National History) and the Fredensborg Palace. The Kronborg Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which is also included in this tour is a very beautiful building, so much so that Shakespeare used it as a setting in his play, Hamlet.
On this tour, enjoy a drive down the Riviera road from Copenhagen to Kronborg and get a glimpse into the lifestyle of Danish royalty as you visit their castles and palaces.
The tour starts from the City Hall Square on Vester Voldgade in Copenhagen. Travelling in a coach and you will visit:
• Frederiksborg Castle (From outside): It is the largest Renaissance palace in Scandinavia and now The Museum of National History.
• Kronborg Castle (From Outside): A brief photostop at this UNESCO World Heritage Site which is famous as ‘Hamlet’s Castle’. Shakespeare is said to have based Elsinore, home of Prince Hamlet in his play,Hamlet inspired by this castle.
• Fredensborg Palace: It is the spring and autumn residence of the Royal Family. Stop here briefly to take pictures.
The tour ends at the City Hall Square.
