You will be picked up in an air-conditioned coach/minibus from your hotel in Dubrovnik. Your guide will lead this Island of Korcula Tour in English, German, French, and Italian.
Drive along the beautiful Dalmatian Coast, savoring views of the Adriatic on one side and pine-clad hills on the other.
Stop for lunch at the Bella Vista restaurant, which sits at the gateway to the Pelješac peninsula. Enjoy local flavor while you look out over the Prapratno cove, which has some of the finest white sand beaches in Croatia.
Arrive in Orebic, a picturesque hamlet at the foot of the St. Elias Hills, and board the boat to Korcula Island, which has passed through Greek, Slavic, and Venetian hands in its colorful history.
Take a guided tour of lovely Korcula, with stops at Saint Mark Cathedral, a 15th century exemplar of Gothic Renaissance architecture, and the Abbey Treasury next door, which contains a fine collection of sacred art, including a sketch by Leonardo da Vinci.
You will have a couple hours of free time to explore the island, walking beneath honey-colored stone ramparts that have stood their ground against the sieges of centuries and exploring the town’s array of art and history museums.
Sail back to Orebic and reboard the coach, setting out anew for the Pelješac Peninsula, where you will stop at a local wine cellar for a tasting of the local nectar.
Disembark for a brief time in the town of Ston, where extensive ramparts conceal a charming collection of cafes and historical ruins.
You will return by coastal road to your Dubrovnik hotel.
