Overview
The Mutianuy section is mainly constructed from granite which has made it one of the best-preserved sections of the Wall. An optional cable car ride is available but those looking for a challenge can climb more than 1,400 steps to the top. Mutianyu Great Wall is much steeper than Badaling Great Wall, and a more challenging climb.
A visit to a nearby Cloisonne Factory is also included in this half day tour.
Itinerary
Mutianyu Great Wall is much steeper than Badaling Great Wall, and a more difficult climb. This section is older than Badaling, and features outer and inner parapets and three watch towers.
Upon arriving you have the option of a cable car ride to the top. Those seeking for a challenging hike can climb more than 1,400 steps to the top.
On the return journey, there will be a visit to a nearby cloisonne factory.
At the end of the tour you will be transported back to your hotel in Beijing.
