Overview

This tour provides a wonderful experience of Afro-Brazilian culture. Performance art is one of the most beautiful facets of Afro-Brazilian culture. Dance and performance art gives room for much expression. Every culture has its own means of expression, and the grisly history of the slave trade in Brazil gave rise to what is today an art form: capoeira (traditional slave fighting).

Seeing the particular dance forms of a region is a wonderful way to get a deeper sense of what goes on beneath the surface of a culture. You’ll see a beautiful performance of Candomblé, Maculelê, Puxada de Rede, Dança do Caboclo, Samba de Roda and capoeira that will do just that!

Enjoying a delicious meal is a great way to sink your teeth into the particular flavor of a country. Enjoy a night of entertainment and culinary delights to discover Brazil.

Itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel in Salvador in an air-conditioned coach for your Bahia by Night tour by your bilingual (English and Spanish) guide.

You’ll be taken to a coliseum style auditorium for an authentic folkloric performance based on Afro-Brazilian culture. Candomblé, Maculelê, Puxada de Rede, Dança do Caboclo, Samba de Roda and capoeira (traditional slave fighting) are included in the 2 hour show.

For dinner, there is a deluxe buffet of traditional or international Dinner, including:

You’ll be taken back to your hotel in Salvador, where your tour concludes.
