Enjoy a cruise on the wave-piercing catamarans on the Outer Barrier Reef and observe the beauty of unsurpassed coral formations and colourful marine life. This tour gives swimmers and non-swimmers the opportunity to experience this stunning reef world.

Explore the reef from the comfort of a semi-submersible, an underwater observatory, or snorkel and dive in an underwater world of unique colour and marine life. Optional activities include ocean walker or an adventure snorkel tour with a marine biologist.

Itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel and travel in a coach to Port Douglas Marina Mirage which is the departure point for this tour.

Board and travel in a catamaran to the Outer Barrier Reef and marvel at the beauty of the stunning reef world either from the comfort of a semi-submersible, an underwater observatory, or as you snorkel and dive amidst a dazzling kaleidoscope of colour and fascinating marine life.

If you select the option of extra activities, you could go on an adventure boat ride to one of 16 remote locations on the edge of the reef, accompanied by a marine biologist and spend about 45 minutes in the water. You could also participate in the 'introductory' dive and dive with a friendly guide, or opt for the certified scube diving option to dive in select diving sites. (Please note: certified divers must produce an internationally recognised SCUBA certified card.) The third option you have is the Ocean Walker, where wearing a helmet you walk under water on a platform to view fish and coral. Here you will be accompanied by a dive crew to assist you should you need help.
