You will be picked up from your hotel and travel in a luxury coach to the Barossa Valley.
The first stop in the morning at the Whispering Wall. Here you have a brief stop at Barossa Reservoir known as the ‘Whispering Wall prior to morning tea at Lyndoch Bakery. Once the highest dam in Australia, its bold new design was noticed with much interest from the Americans.
From Mengler’s Hill lookout get great views of the rolling vineyards of the Barossa valley. Sample local Barossa wines at a family owned and operated Barossa Valley winery. You will visit three wineries where you will sample some fine wines.
You can learn the winemaking process on a guided ‘Behind the Scenes’ tour at Richmond Grove Wines, located in a charming historic chateau and guests will also view the original winery built in 1897 with traditional winemaking equipment.
You will have opportunity to taste Australian wines at Kaesler Winery, a noted Barossa Valley wine producer. Here you will enjoy a sumptuous lunch at Kaesler Winery Restaurant.
You will have free time to explore the oldest German settlement in Australia, Hahndorf, and see quaint cottages and craft shops or enjoy some fine local hospitality in many streetside cafés.
