If you happen to find yourself in Barcelona, whet your palette with a Picasso Tour! As perhaps the world’s most famous artist, Pablo Picasso turned the art world upside-down and inside-out. Breaking established rules of art with every stroke, Picasso subverted the dominant paradigm while creating a massive portfolio of world famous art. And, what’s a better place to view his masterpieces than Barcelona? As the crown jewel for any Picasso sightseeing trip, the Museu Picasso stores works from every period of Picasso’s life. See the beautiful Las Meninas, Seated Man, and Painter Working! The museum hold many works from Picasso’s early life, training period, and, of course, his famous Blue Period. And, you can combine your Picasso Museum visit with a Medieval Quarter walking tour or admission to La Sangrada Familía. It’s what to do on a Picasso Tour!

Best Time To Visit As a city by the sea, Barcelona delivers comfortable weather for tourists throughout the year. If you wish to avoid the hottest and most humid weather in Barcelona, skip Barcelona during the months of July and August. Most people agree that the best weather for a Picasso trip is in May/June and September/October. Barcelona does get a tiny bit of snow in the winter, sometimes. Generally, you’ll enjoy sunny days and cool, crisp nights from November through March. As with any Mediterranean locale, sporadic rainstorms may form in a matter of minutes at any time of year. Bring an umbrella for your Picasso daytrip!
Getting There Getting to the right spot depends on which Picasso Tour you book. If you plan on visiting the Picasso Museum, take Metro Line 1 to the Arc de Triomf station or Line 4 to the Jaume I station. By bus, take lines 39, 45, 51, 120, H14, V15, or V17. If you book any other combo tour, you will need to make your way to Plaça Catalunya. Take Metro Line 1 or 3 to the Plaça Catalunya station. Or, take bus lines 24, 41, 42, 55, 66, 67, 68, V15, or H16 to Plaça Catalunya.
Money Saving Tips Got a hole in your pocket? No sweat! You can save a handsome sum by combining your Picasso Museum ticket with other attractions. Pair it with a walking tour of the Medieval Quarter or admission to La Sagrada Familía. Then, use the money you saved to buy some paella!
