Immerse yourself in the culture of one of America's most vibrant cities on a delightful day tour.
Experience the rich and diverse architecture of Philadelphia's civic buildings, shopping centers, train terminals, fountains, churches, museums and theaters.
Pause in “Love Park” for one of Philly’s most famous photo-opps. Smell the fantastic mix of food in the city's most vibrant market and stop to sample some of Philly's classic street snacks.
Hear a concert from the world's largest pipe organ, enjoy a moment viewing some of Philly's finest murals, and feel the energy of the city’s most exciting neighborhoods.
The Heart of Philadelphia Walking Tour is the perfect introduction to the “City of Brotherly Love”. To join the tour, make your way to the Clothes Pin Sculpture – at the corner of 15th St. and Market St. where your local guide will be waiting.
The Clothes Pin Sculpture lies opposite Philadelphia's City Hall, the cultural and geographic heart of the city center. Head east and walk straight into a concert at the Wanamaker Building, where, on most days, you'll hear a performance of the world's largest pipe organ.
After the concert, head to the historic Reading Railroad Terminal and go downstairs to savor the aroma of foods from across the world at the vibrant Reading Terminal Market. From the Market, continue to Love Park , which gets its nickname from a famous sculpture by Robert Indiana that overlooks the plaza.
Then head up the Ben Franklin Parkway, which is lined with colourful international flags. Logan Square is the next stop and you’ll walk into the breathtaking Basilica of St. Peter & St. Paul before walking across the square, passing the Swann Fountain, and entering the grand lobby of the Franklin Institute.
The tour continues to one of the newest attractions in Philly, the massive LED TV screen at The Comcast Building. From there, you will enter one of Philly's biggest shopping and restaurant districts.
You'll be introduced to an iconic Italian cheese shop, followed by a stop at the Philly Pretzel Factory for a snack of a hot soft Philly pretzel.
The tour then brings you to Broad Street, also known as the“Avenue of the Arts”. Here, you'll get a sense of some classic and modern architecture from Philly's banks, hotels, theatres, and social clubs. You'll stroll into Midtown Village and view a few of Philly's fantastic public murals.
After the murals, stop at one of Philly's newest theatres, the Kimmel Center. You'll then have a chance to cool down with water ice, a classic Philadelphia treat, as we walk through the beautiful residential neighborhood of Rittenhouse.
The tour concludes at Rittenhouse Square, where you'll have a chance to continue eating, shopping, and exploring.
