  • Spend some time in the Hamptons and understand why the super-rich of New York escape here for the summer
  • Visit an outlet mall where you can shop for huge savings on big brands
  • The tour is escorted by an English speaking guide and conducted in an air conditioned coach

Leave the bustle of New York and head out to The Hamptons, where the rich and famous spend their summers. This is the place to see and be seen.

When you arrive at picturesque Southampton you’ll soon see why celebrities like Paris Hilton have made it their home. Enjoy the harbor and the historic parts of town and admire the splendid mansions of the super-rich.

Continue to the quaint old town of Sag Harbor, once a major whaling port. Try to imagine it in its heyday with all the square-rigged whaling ships lined up in port. Today, by contrast, the harbor is full of millionaires’ luxury yachts.

Browse the fascinating antique shops and then, after lunch, head off for a very different type of shopping. Incredible bargains await you at the premier brand stores of Tanger Outlets.

Itinerary

Your exciting The Hamptons, Sag Harbor and Shopping tourstarts from 125 Park Ave (between 41st & 42nd street) at New York Airport Service.

With your bilingual guide, you will depart New York in an air-conditioned vehicle (van, mini-bus or coach) east through the borough of Queens. You will see the high-rise buildings gradually giving way to magnificent landscaping and gorgeous greenery.

You will stop at Riverhead for a hearty country breakfast (payable direct) and then continue east. The journey to Long Island takes around 1.5 hours.

On the way, you pass the The Long Island Duck. This huge duck-shaped building was constructed by a Long Island farmer in the 1930s to promote his duck farming business. It is now a registered historic building.

Your next stop is at Southampton, one of the oldest colonial settlements and now one of the most prestigious parts of The Hamptons. Celebrities such as Jerry Seinfield, Paris Hilton, David Letterman, Steven Spielberg and others have made it their home.

Stroll down the attractive main street before heading down through the historical area, the harbor and along Ocean View Drive, passing the homes of the rich and famous along the way.

Leaving Southampton you go on to the lovely old town of Sag Harbor. This quaint place, once an important center of the whaling industry, is mentioned in the classic novel ‘Moby Dick.’ Take your time to admire the luxury yachts in the bay and browse the antique shops for bargains.

After lunch, (payable direct), head to Tanger Outlets where you pick up your complimentary tote bag and big-value savings coupons. You can then browse the excellent selection of brand name stores for great bargains on your favorite stuff.

In late afternoon, you depart west for New York and arrive in the early evening.

At the end of a thoroughly enjoyable day, you will be dropped back at the pick up point at New York Airport Service.
