There is no hotel pick-up. The tour begins from 125 Park Avenue between 41st and 42nd Streets. It is across from Grand Central Station in Manhattan
You will board a deluxe air conditioned motorcoach or van and, accompanied by a professional bilingual tour guide, depart New York City, traveling through New Jersey, Pennsylvania on to the ‘City of Brotherly Love’, Philadelphia.
Upon arrival in Philadelphia, embark on a panoramic tour of the city. The tour includes stops at the following places:
• Benjamin Franklin Parkway: Philadelphia's most famous street is bordered by cultural and educational institutions. It connects the City Centre with the vast Fairmount Park.
• Elfert Alley: This is the oldest inhabited street in America.
• Liberty Bell: The Liberty Bell is one of the most important symbols of America's struggle for independence at the end of the 18th century. The famously cracked bell occupies a separate pavilion at the Independence Mall in the historic area of Philadelphia and can be visited free of charge.
• Constitution Square and Constitution Hall are symbols of freedom in America.
Departing Philadelphia, see the famous Rocky Steps, the nickname given to the front steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. They appear in the film Rocky, and four of its sequels as well as in Rocky Balboa.
Continue to Lancaster county home of the Amish community who uphold a traditional lifestyle.
Break for lunch (payable direct) at the Amish marketplace.
After lunch, embark on an authentic Amish buggy ride through the Amish farm country and learn about a life without the benefit of modern technology - no electricity, running water, telephone service or appliances.
Late afternoon you will depart for an evening arrival into New York.
