Located in the heart of New York’s Time Square, the world-famous Ripley’s Believe It or Not is a one-of-its-kind museum. Created by Robert Ripley, a cartoonist, an explorer and a collector of the bizarre, the museum is spread over twenty themed galleries, spanning two floors. The majority of the exhibits in all of the Ripley’s Believe It or Not! odditoriums are based on the collections of oddities collected by Robert Ripley himself throughout his world travels.

Whether examining a six-legged cow, a lock of Elvis' hair, 24 shrunken heads, a section of the Berlin wall, or a life-size albino giraffe, the amazing Ripley's Believe It or Not collection proves that fact is indeed stranger than fiction!

Itinerary

Ripley's Believe it or not! is located in Times Square.

Ripley’s collections are spread out across two floors. The exhibits are housed in twenty theme-based galleries and you can take your time browsing through them.

Be prepared for some gut-wrenching artifacts though, as Ripley’s boasts the world’s largest private collection of shrunken heads belonging to the Jivaro Indians!

Other oddities include a life-size albino giraffe, a section of the Berlin Wall and a host of other weird artifacts.

See the Iron Maiden, hand carved from a tree trunk and adorned with 14 spikes placed strategically to pierce the eyes, heart and throat, a six-legged cow.
