You’ll walk in the footsteps of such stars as Paul Newman, Anthony Hopkins, Robin Williams, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and many more!

Itinerary

Your fabulous Boston Movie Mile Walking Tour gets underway when you meet your tour guide in front of the Old Town Trolley Stop Store in Edgar Allan Poe Square (the corner of Boylston Street and Charles Street South in Boston). For almost 2 hours, you’ll enjoy this walking tour of Boston’s famed Movie Mile! This unique movie tour is led by a local actor who will happily provide behind-the-scenes filming details and endless entertainment knowledge. ??

You’ll walk along Boston’s Beacon Hill, known for its architectural beauty and historic relevance. This is the most filmed area in the entire city and has appeared in over 30 blockbuster hits! You’ll see familiar locales used in movies such as “The Departed”, “Ted”, “Good Will Hunting”, “Boondock Saints”, “Blown Away” and many more.

At the peak of Beacon Hill, you’ll find one of the most popular locations for filming in Boston, The Massachusetts State House. Ironically, of the all the films that feature The State House, the location is rarely a representation of The Massachusetts State House. Instead, this historical building has become a stand-in for other locations, such as a court house and then a hospital in “The Verdict” and as the U.S. House of Representatives in “Amistad”.

You’ll also visit Charles Street Cleaners, transformed into a mobsters’ hangout for The Departed, as well as the Dunkin’ Donuts on Tremont Street used for a memorable scene in The Town.

Action movie fans will recognize Joy Street, which is the setting for a pivotal scene in “Blown Away”. Although the scene is set in San Francisco, filming was done in Beacon Hill!

At the conclusion of your tour, you are free to make your way back to your accommodation.
