Head off into the Highlands on the Stirling Castle, Loch Lomond & Glengoyne Distillery excursion. To join the tour you should arrive at 11 George Square, Glasgow by 0900 h (09.00 am), where you will meet your driver/guide and board your mini-bus.
As you travel north from Glasgow, you'll be passing through a landscape steeped in history. You'll journey past the famous battlefield of Bannockburn and your guide will bring to life the turbulent times of Robert the Bruce and Scotland's fight for independence.
You will stop at the beautiful city of Stirling, site of the Wallace Monument. You'll have ample time to explore the splendid castle (entrance payable direct) or stroll through the ancient streets that surround it.
The route then takes you through the spectacular Duke's Pass which offers magnificent views to the peaks of the stunning Trossachs Mountains and carries you past some of Scotland's most picturesque lochs.
Your lunchtime stop is by Loch Lomond. Why not try lunch at a traditional pub built out of a 300-year-old oak tree (payable direct) and then walk the shores of Britain's largest expanse of fresh water?
The journey home holds one last treat. You'll have the chance to visit one of Scotland's most beautiful distilleries and get a taste of the true spirit of the country - a Highland Malt Whiskey (entrance fee payable direct).
At the end of the tour you will be dropped back at the starting point.
