This tour takes you around the various temples in and around Chiang Mai. We give below brief highlights of the places that you will visit.
The Chiang Mai Wat Prathat Doi Suthep is probably the most famous of all the Wat Prathat Doi Suthep temples in Thailand. The Phra Singh Buddha has been a significant Buddha image of the Thai Lanna people for many years.
The Wat Suan Dok temple is located on the Suthep road. The temple houses one of the most beautiful Buddha statues. It is a Chiang Saen style bronze image. There are also several unique features to this temple that you won't see in any other wat (temple) around Chiang Mai, or even elsewhere in Thailand.
Wat Jed Yod one of the least visited major temples. Jet Yod translates to "seven peaks" and refers to the seven chedis which top a structure in the temple complex. This 15th century temple is a very unusual Thai temple building because it is a copy of the Mahabodhi Temple at Bodhgaya in India.
