This private tour offers you greater flexibility and you can spend as much or as little time at any of the places that you visit. Unlike the tight and fixed schedules of coach tours, the private option allows you to do the tour at your own pace.
This tour takes you along beautiful forested roads to the Doi Inthanon National Park and its many attractions.
Among the attractions are:
The many pagodas that are scattered around the area. The most beautiful of them (situated on the summit) are two large pagodas built for the current king and queen of Thailand.
The Park is situated at the confluence of Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and Thailand. This area is populated by the ethnic Karen peoples. On this tour you will get a chance to visit one of their villages and watch as they go about their daily lives and see some of their traditions.
You will get the opportunity to see one the more impressive waterfalls that abound in the park – Wachiratharn Waterfall.
You will also see Phra Mahathat Napha Methanidon and Phra Mahathat Naphaphon Phumisiri, twin pagodas which were built to commemorate the fifth cycle birthdays of King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit. Both pagodas share similar bases as well as a two-level walking path that surrounds them. The pagodas enshrine Lord Buddha’s ashes and Buddha images.
The tour includes a stop for lunch. After the trip you will be returned to your hotel or airport (if you prefer).
