An amalgamation of blue, white and ochre, the quaint fishing village of Fornells opens up a vista of sparkling blue waters of the bay, occasional village houses and white sails dotting the water. Traditional Menorcan fishing crafts can be seen moored in the little harbour and ancient village houses.
Pamper your taste-buds with some Caldreta de Langosta (lobster stew), a local specialty at a restaurant. This delicious preparation has attracted visitors from afar, including King Juan Carlos (king of Spain)!
At Sant Patrici, learn first hand the art of making Menorcan cheese, considered one of Menorca’s best.
You will be picked up from one of the designated spots conveniently located in Menorca. Accompanied by an English-speaking guide you will be taken on coach tour to the fishing Village of Fornells in the North.
Fornells is famous for its local specialty ‘Caldreta de Langosta’ or lobster stew. The village was originally founded to protect a castle erected in the 17th century against Barbary pirates. The castle was eventually demolished and only a watch tower on the headland remains from Fornells' military past.
Proceed to Sant Patrici where the world-renowned Menorcan cheese is made. The cheese of Sant Patrici is based on centuries of tradition coupled with modern technological development. you'll have the opportunity to taste the different varieties and purchase some to take back home.
You will stop in Cala Galdana where you will have free time for lunch (not included in the price).
The last stop of the day will either be at Son Martorellet, where you will visit the famous stables and see pure-bred horses of Menorca. Or the Modas Comercial, which is a fashion show for leather.
At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your designated starting point.
