Jerez is one of Andalucia´s treasures with a wealth of tourist attractions that have made the city famous.
Jerez is home to “sherry” the famous fortified wine, the Royal Andalusia School of Equestrian Art (a riding school comparable to the world-famous Spanish Riding School in Vienna, Austria) and is the birthplace of the famous flamenco.
Despite the demands of the modern world and the need to cater to a host of visitors, the city of Jerez has managed to retain its beauty and charm and preserve the reminders of its historical past.
The tour leaves for Jerez from two designated spots in Cadiz in the morning. You will travel in an air-conditioned coach, accompanied by an English / German speaking guide to this world-famous equestrian city.
On reaching Jerez, you will be taken on a sightseeing tour of the city after which you will have some time at leisure to explore the town on your own. T
The next part of the tour will take you to the famous Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre (REAAE), Spanish Riding centre. The equestrian centre is itself an amazing baroque building.
At the REAAE you will get to see riders dressed in 18th century costumes and their beautiful steeds performing an impressive equestrian ballet show that is famous around the world.
After the Andalucian horse-dancing show, Visit La Taberna Flamenca, a typical Andalusian restaurant with some traditional Spanish specialities, where you will be delighted with a typical lunch while you enjoy a flamenco show. The atmosphere is typical flamenco mixed with the city of Jerez.
After the Andalucian lunch at La Taberna Flamenca, you will travel to the distilleries of Gonzalez Byass, the world famous sherry distilleries. Located in the centre of town the distillery is famous for its brand “Tio Pepe”. You will get to tour the premises and facilities of the distillery and even sample some of their wines.
At the end of the tour you will return to the starting point in Cadiz.
