Exotic, mysterious, home to spies, artists, shady diplomats and businessmen on the make with beautiful vistas, unspoiled beaches, and friendly people, Tangier is an interesting mix of North Africa, Spain, Portugal and France.
Accompanied by a multilingual guide, you will take a ferry to this exotic abode and explore the modern town as well as the ancient Medina, and end your tour with a traditional Moroccan lunch at a local restaurant.
To start your Tangier Culture Tour, you will board a high speed catamaran from port of Tarifa. You will visit the modern town with its wide boulevards, sophisticated cafes and exclusive boutiques.
Next, you will dive into the old walled Medina. Take a stroll along the lanes and you will be able to see the influence of the Andalusian, Moorish, colonial and Moroccan architecture intermingling together. The Medina has been the backdrop of several movies like Inception and The Bourne Ultimatum.
You will also visit the souks that will give you the feeling of being in the medieval times as the narrow alleyways are lined with small shops, bakeries, tailors and the residents shop wearing the traditional chillabas.
In the bustling souks you can shop for anything and everything, right from vegetables, electronics, clothing to shoes, spices, leather goods, brassware among others. You will also get quality time to explore the city on your own.
Before taking a ferry back to the port, you will savour a traditional Moroccan meal at a local restaurant.
