This tour starts from the Bus Terminal at Ronda Universidad 5. Accompanied by a bi-lingual guide and travelling in an air-conditioned coach, you will drive through some wonderfully picturesque villages and countryside to reach Girona. Your guide will present you with a guidebook on the coach so you can also spend some time reading more about the places you are to visit that day.
On arrival your guide will lead you on a walking tour of Girona; the city is an exquisite blend of medieval buildings from the Roman and Moorish eras. You will be guided through the steep narrow streets which lead from Girona’s Roman city walls to the oldest quarter of the city where you will find many churches, museums and cathedrals. A highlight of the Girona walking tour is the Jewish Quarter that housed the Jewish community in Girona during medieval times.
After your walking tour of Girona you will depart for Figueres, on arrival you will have some free time for lunch, this is not included in the tour cost but the guidebook will contain many recommendations and some discount vouchers.
After lunch you will meet your guide to visit the Dali Museum, home to the largest collection of works by this unconventional artist, the cost of your Dali Museum tickets are included in the price of this tour.
The Museum was designed by Dali himself and even the building is a work of art. Inaugurated in 1974, the Dalí Theatre-Museum was built upon the remains of the former Figueres theatre. It contains the broadest range of works spanning the artistic career of Salvador Dalí (1904-1989), from his earliest artistic experiences and his surrealist creations down to the works of the last years of his life. The different collections include all kinds of works of art: painting, drawing, sculpture, engraving, installation, hologram, stereoscopy, photography.
After your tour of the Dali Museum, we will return to Barcelona, the tour ends at Ronda Universidad 5 in Barcelona.
