This tour will provide you a perfect introduction to Culinary Barcelona. Your guide will show you many of the favourite Barcelona restaurants, cafes and fine food stores ensuring you are never stuck for somewhere to eat or drink during your stay in Barcelona.
This Barcelona tour will take you to sweet shops, coffee shops and of course tapas bars, two tasting sessions will be included along the way.
Cruise passengers: This tour can easily be taken if arriving in Barcelona by cruise ship; it will take you around 55 minutes to reach the start point. Take bus 17 from the port and transfer to metro line 1 at Urquinaona from where it is just 2 stops to Universitat. Alternatively a taxi should take 15-20 mins and cost no more than 10Euros.

As your Barcelona tour starts your guide will talk you through Barcelona’s culinary history, two of the first points of interest you will pass are Granja Viader; Barcelona’s oldest Milk Bar and Pastisseria Escriba – One of Barcelona’s most highly renowned cake shops.
Your will then visit La Boqueria Market. Situated in Ciutat Vella which is accessible from Las Ramblas this is one of the best-loved food markets in Barcelona. La Boqueria is best known for its range of fresh seafood, cakes, sweets and wines and absorbing the sights, sounds and smells of this wonderful is an experience in itself.
Return to Las Ramblas and your guide will lead you to Carrer de Petritxol. Although this avenue runs straight off Las Ramlas - Carrer de Petritxol is missed by many, This narrow street contains many bohemian book shops and art galleries as well as some exquisite chocolate shops.
As your walk continues you will see Xocolateria Fargas – one of the city’s finest chocolate shops and La Pineda – where you can get some of the city’s finest Tapas in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Pass Les Torroneries del Carrer de la Cucurulla – a traditional sweet shop which is sure to make your mouth water and Cafes el Magnifico – arguably Barcelona’s finest coffee shop, here your simple morning coffee is made into an art. You will also pass by the famous Café d’la Opera; a favorite Barcelona hang-out, this opera-café is decorated in a unique Barcelona art-nouveau style.
