Pick-up for the Sigatoka Shopping Tour is from selected hotels in Nadi and Denarau Island. This half-day tour can be taken either in the morning or the afternoon and an English-speaking guide will accompany you on the trip.
Sigatoka is situated at the mouth of the Sigatoka River on the Coral Coast just 70 km from Nadi International Airport. The town is the main commercial center for the Coral Coast region, with a population of over 10,000 people. It serves farmers from the fertile Sigatoka Valley (known as the ‘Salad Bowl of Fiji’) who bring their produce to the market to be sold.
The town is also famous for its handicrafts, especially pottery, and its duty-free shopping. The Sigatoka Handicraft Center is a good place to buy souvenirs. Managed by local women, this shop sells carvings, shell jewelry, masi cloth and other local produce. Jack's Handicrafts, Prouds and Tappoo are other well-known shopping destinations in the town.
If you go in the morning there is an excellent hot bread shop. And don’t miss the colorful fruit and vegetable market. There is also a vibrant street market with small stalls selling a selection of items.
When you get tired of shopping there are plenty of cafes and restaurants where you can get a drink or a meal (payable direct).
At the end of the half-day tour you will be driven back to your hotel.
