The Oribi Gorge Nature Reserve in KwaZulu Natal is a wonderfully scenic area offering an immense variety of South Africa’s flora and fauna. Named after the antelope called Oribi, this gorge is one of the wonders of KwaZulu Natal.

A photographer's paradise, this little Eden encompasses forests, rivers, rapids and huge ravines. High sandstone cliffs dominate this 24km long gorge carved out by the Umzimkulwana River. Leopards, troops of baboons, various small antelope and a prolific bird life, including five species of kingfisher and seven species of eagle inhabit the reserve. There are several nature trails for the adventurous.

Itinerary
