Overview

See the spectacular attractions and places of interest in Oslo and get an insight into the rich history and culture of Norway on this all-encompassing tour.

Admire the statues by sculptor Gustav Vigeland in the Vigeland Sculpture Park, a popular tourist attraction of Oslo. The Holmenkollen Ski Jump is a favourite among sports enthusiasts but the stunning views from the top make it a must-do for other visitors as well. At the Norwegian Folk museum you can truly immerse yourself in the history and culture of this northern, sea-faring country.

Itinerary

The tour starts from the west tower of city hall and takes you to:

Vigeland Sculpture Park: Envisioned by a single man, Gustav Vigeland, the Sculpture Park is an astonishing showcase of the artist's lifework. There are over 200 sculptures made out of bronze, granite and wrought iron. One of the main attractions of the park is The Monolith, a column over 14 metres high into which entwined human bodies are sculpted.

Holmenkollen Ski Jump: Admire the panoramic views from the top of the ski jump and see the world’s oldest ski museum.

Viking ships: See one of the few remaining preserved Viking Ships at the Viking Ship Museum.

Norwegian Folk Museum: The museum focuses on displaying the Norwegian way of life from the 1500s to present day. The open-air museum hosts 150 traditional Norwegian homes from different areas while the indoor spaces showcase folk art, costumes, toys and Sami culture.

The tour ends at the starting point.
