For this city tour, you will travel in a coach and will be accompanied by a guide. The tour starts from Rådhusbrygge 3 (pier 3) waterfront of the Oslo City Hall and takes you to the following landmarks:
• Kon-Tiki Museum: The museum houses a wide range of boats and artifacts, which relate to scientist Thor-Heyerdahl’s 1947 expedition across the Pacific Ocean.
• Polar ship Fram: It was constructed in 1892 by Scottish-Norwegian shipbuilder Colin Archer. The Fram polar vessel was used by Fridtjof Nansen on the first Fram Voyage across the ice surrounding the North Pole.
• Maritime museum: The Maritime Museum houses all sorts of maritime artifacts. You can also enjoy a great panorama view of the Oslo Fjord from the museum.
Following your tour of the city centre, board a boat and sail along the Fjord, past a maze of green islands, dotted with picturesque summer houses. En route see the Akerhus Fortress which was used to protect Oslo from attacks from sea. Sail through the Opera House and bustling Oslo harbour, where modern cruise ships sail alongside traditional fishing boats.
