Explore a wonderland of ice on two of New Zealand's most spectacular glaciers - Franz Josef Glacier, a spectacular glacier located in Westland National Park on South Island's West Coast, and the Fox Glacier 20 km to the south. Together, they make for an amazing sight. The area surrounding the two glaciers is designated a World Heritage Site.

Your flight will provide access to some of New Zealand's most remote areas, and will take you up close to towering peaks, crevasse filled glaciers and sparkling waterways.

Itinerary

You will be picked up from the Main Road, Franz Josef village and taken to the Waiho airfield. Here you will board a flight and set out on a scenic flight over Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers.

Rising from sea level to the heart of the magnificent Southern Alps, this helicopter flight explores the icefalls on either the Franz Josef or Fox Glaciers. Fly over the lowland rainforest of the West Coast to view the Fox and Franz Josef Glaciers. See the western sides of Mt Tasman, Aoraki/Mount Cook and the Southern Alps.
