  • Join an expert local guide to tour Amsterdam on two wheels
  • Explore the city center and surrounding areas
  • See parts of the city that other visitors miss
  • Combine sightseeing with healthy exercise on an eco-friendly tour

See Amsterdam the Dutch way and explore the city by bike! You’ll soon feel like a local Amsterdammer as this small group tour pedals out of the center and into the quieter areas and hidden spots of The Netherlands’ largest city.

Look at different types of architecture and discover how Amsterdam reused the old spaces and reclaimed new land. Cycle along the waterfront, weather permitting, and experience the shipping industry of Amsterdam’s past. See one of the city’s windmills across from a local brewery and snap that perfect Holland photo.

Along the way, you will discover many diverse neighbourhoods and hear amazing tales of how Amsterdam grew from a small farming community to a port of global importance.

There is no better way to get familiar with this wonderful city than by bike!

To begin your Amsterdam Bike Tour you should meet your local guide at the National Monument in Dam Square. There will then be a short walk to the bike rental shop.

Starting from the center of town, pedal towards the city’s oldest warehouse district.

Then head to De Waag, a remnant of the city walls that dates back to the 15th century. These days De Waag is surrounded by locals living in the Red Light district, an area which houses coffee shops, restaurants and even an organic food market.

You will have time to admire some of Amsterdam’s ultra-modern buildings as well, with a stop at the newest library terrace, where you can see the city sprawl out below and have maybe a coffee and chat with the guide.

For more fantastic Amsterdam travel pictures and views over the city, riding to the Amstel River and waterfront areas. This tour really highlights some of the great engineering achievements of the Dutch as well their entrepreneurial spirit. You will explore a good portion of the city most tourists never see.

Your tour ends at Dam Square and you are then free to make your way back to your accommodation or proceed to your next destination.
