Itinerary

For your Discover Agadir Sightseeing Tour you will be picked up at 1000h (10:00am) from your hotel in Agadir.

You will set out in an air-conditioned vehicle with your guide to explore the coastal resort of Agadir. The excursion takes around 2 ½ hours and you will cover a distance of approximately 20 km (12 miles). This is mostly a driving tour. You will only walk about 0.5km (a quarter of a mile) in total on this tour.

Agadir is very different from any other city in Morocco. The new town, with its wide, straight streets and low minimalist houses, was built after the earthquake of 1960 that destroyed the old town and killed 15,000.

To see one of the few remaining traces of old Agadir, you will visit the Kasbah, a former 16th century fortress. Only a small part survived the devastating earthquake – just an outline of walls and an entrance arch. But from the top you will have stupendous views of the beach, ocean and the busy port.

You will see the evocative Talborjt mosque, you will have around 10 minutes here to take photos.

Back in the new city of Agadir, you will make a 15-minute visit to the souk, housed in a purpose-built market and full of herbs, spices, ceramics, carved wooden objects, jewelry, leather-work and much more. (But please note that the souk is closed on Mondays.)

Next you will make your way to the Boulevard of the Cornice to view the glorious bay with its 9 km (5.4 miles) of white sand washed by theAtlantic.

At the end of your Agadir excursion, you will be dropped off back at your hotel.
