Overview

Visit one of London’s most iconic buildings, the Westminster Abbey, the venue for all the coronations in England since the time of William the Conqueror. Steeped into a thousand years of history, the current gothic masterpiece has stood for about 700 years. The abbey preserves the monument British history as seventeen monarchs have been buried here. The Westminster Abbey was also the wedding venue for Prince William and Kate Middleton in 2011.

With your Westminster Abbey ticket, enjoy access to the abbey and check out its magnificent gothic architecture, the Coronation Chair, which is the oldest piece of furniture in England and has played host to the coronation of every monarch since 1308.

You may also visit the Poet’s Corner, which houses the memorial of famous literary artists like Rudyard Kipling, Geoffrey Chaucer, Charles Dickens and Thomas Hardy. The corner is also decorated with many memorial stones and busts dedicated to the likes of William Shakespeare and poet laureate Ted Hughes.
