Overview
Experience Bengoh Valley for 2 days and an overnight stay and treat your senses to the natural wonders that line this spectacular valley.
Day 1:
After a 30-minute drive you arrive at Padawan where the first order of business is finding the locally acclaimed legendary rubber shoes/hiking shoes. Soon after you find yourself in Bengoh Dam. A 20 mins boat ride across this magnificent lake will snake you through lush greenery of hilly and mountainous backdrop until we reach the foothills of Kampung Sting (a resettled Bidayuh Village). A 20 minute uphill walk will soon reward you with breathtaking view of the Bengoh Dam when you reach your homestay. Check in, rest, relax and enjoy the setting sun as it slowly disappears behind the mountains. Dinner will be served.
Day 2:
Start your day with a good breakfast and before sunrise, catch a glimpse of Bengoh Lake covered by a blanket of clouds! Capture that instagram worthy shot and then get ready for a day fun filled with adventure as you prepare yourself for a day’s hike to the majestic falls of Kling and Susung. This walk brings you through lush secondary forests, fruit orchards, cocoa and pepper plantations. You will also see how the villages are powered when you pass underground rivers and small waterfalls along the way. After a walk across the bamboo bridge, the first waterfall to arrive is the 3-tiered Kling curtain falls. Take a dip in the cooling waters as your guide prepares lunch. After lunch, for the last leg of the tour, you proceed to the thunderous falls of Susung for a photo session or another deep at the nearby pools (time allowing). Return to Bengoh Lake where your boat awaits you and enjoy comfortable transfer across lake for your return overland trip to Kuching.
