Visit Murano, the most visited Venetian island, is famous for the exquisite glasswork produced there. Venetians have been making crystal and glass since the 10th Century after merchants brought back the secrets of production from the East. The industry was moved to the island of Murano in the 13th century.

The island of Burano is famous for its lace industry. This pretty fishing village has many streets and canals lined with bright, pastel-coloured houses.

Itinerary

Your private guide will meet you in the St Marks area and escort you to board your motor launch.

Enjoy a relaxing private guided boat tour of the Islands of Murano & Burano with one of our local expert guides on a luxurious motor-launch. Visit Murano which is the most famous of the Venetian Islands, and the most visited courtesy of the famous glass-works that produce the popular "Murano Glass".

You'll visit a famous glass-factory where you'll see an example of glass-blowing as well as visit the factory's showroom full of beautiful glassware that exemplify the high quality of glass produced on the Island.

The Island of Burano is the most picturesque of Venetian Islands of the Lagoon. Famous for its lace-making industry, the pretty fishing village has its streets and canals lined by pastel coloured houses. Here you can also see examples of the famous local craft of lace-making while strolling around this enchanting island.

The tour ends in the centre of Venice.
