Overview

From Milan, you will be taken to Tirano, Italy, for a memorable train journey aboard the Bernina Express to St. Moritz, Switzerland. Along this route declared as world heritage site by UNESCO, you will pass through wild gorges, soaring bridges, fascinating loop tunnels and white glaciers, close enough to reach out and touch!

Enjoy the dreamy beauty of the Alpine landscape complete with high mountains, glaciers, serene blue lakes, lush meadows with cows grazing in them and quaint farmhouses. This tour will truly be an experience of a lifetime.

What's the plan:

You will be taken by coach to Tirano for a memorable train journey aboard the Bernina Express. You will travel to St. Moritz in Switzerland, situated about 220 kilometers from the city of Milan.

Your train ride continues through the spiraling arched bridges at Brusio and passes by Poschiavo, one of the best places in the canton of the Grisons. During your journey, you will pass by the following sites:

Engadine: It is a mountain valley located in Graubünden in the southeast of Switzerland. Enjoy the beauty of its landscape and high mountains on all sides.

Bernina Pass: It is a high mountain pass in the Bernina range of the Alps and connects St Moritz in the Engadine valley to Tirano in Italy.

Your train journey lasts for two and a half hours. After arriving at St. Moritz, enjoy ample free time to stroll around one of the most famous tourist destinations in the world characterized by breathtaking landscape on the lake.

After enjoying the scenic setting of the Alps, you will be dropped off at our local partner's office located at Largo Cairoli / via Cusani, Milan, MM1 Cairoli.

The Bernina Express crosses the most highly located railroad line of the Alps. With its tracks at inclines of up to 7%, the Bernina Express is one of the steepest railroads of the world not to use any cogwheels.
