The city’s most famous attraction, the leaning tower of Pisa needs no introduction. The Cathedral, another major tourist attraction, which also stands on the same Piazza, is one of the world's greatest examples of Pisan-Romanesque architecture. The Cathedral is famous for the works of art that adorn its interiors such as the pulpit by Giovanni Pisano.

Visitors can also admire the Baptistery, dedicated to John the Baptist, it is one of the largest of its kind in Italy.

Itinerary

The tour starts at Piazza Stazione. Accompanied by an Escort you will travel by coach through the picturesque Tuscan countryside to the famous city of Pisa, situated at the mouth of the Arno River.

On arrival in Pisa meet your English-Speaking local guide and enjoy a walking tour of the Piazza dei Miracoli. The Square of Miracles is the site of the main attractions of Pisa; the Cathedral, the Baptistery and of course the incomparable Leaning Tower of Pisa. Your guide will walk your around the buildings and then go inside the Cathedral, an unsurpassed masterpiece of Romanesque architecture. Highlights of the cathedral include the numerous works of art that adorn its interiors.

The remainder of your visit is at leisure. There is an optional walking tour to the Piazza dei Cavalieri, where you can admire the historic Scuola Normale, one of the most famous universities in the world.

At the end of the tour travel back to Florence by coach. You will be dropped in the Piazza Stazione at around 1930h (07:30pm).
