Meet your guide at at 2:45pm at Via Della Ninna n.7 in Florence. The tour departs at 3:00pm.
The tour follows the journey of Robert Langdon through Florence, as played out in the latest novel by best-selling author Dan Brown. Lead by a professional guide, you will see the most beautiful monuments of the city.
The tour starts in Palazzo Vecchio, where you will see the famous frescos by Vasari and statues representing the Medici family. Next you will visit the private apartments of Grand Duchesse Eleonora and follow your guide into the room of the maps where lies the secret passage used by Langdon in the novel. Once outside the Palazzo, you will stroll down the same streets as Langdon and gaze upon the imposing bell tower. You will also see the place where Leonardo da Vinci lived when he painted the Mona Lisa.
The tour then moves on to view the home of Dante Alighieri and his church, followed by the huge Duomo and its cupola. Next, you will enter the beautiful Baptistery to see the stunning ‘Gates of Paradise’ by Ghiberti and the gorgeous mosaic on the ceiling.
The tour ends at the Baptistery. You will receive a ticket to visit the Duomo and the cupola, to be used within 24 hours of taking the tour. From the top of the cupola you will have spectacular views of the city.
