You will be picked up from your hotel and travel in an air conditioned vehicle, accompanied by a guide for a tour of three of the most important temples of Delhi. You will visit:
• ISKCON Temple: Constructed by The International Society for Krishna Consciousness, this temple is famous for three hi-tech robots of Krishna, Arjuna and Srila Prabhupada, the founder of ISKCON. The mission of this nonsectarian, monotheistic movement is to promote the well being of society by teaching the science of Krishna consciousness according to Bhagavad-gita and other ancient scriptures.
• Lotus Temple: The Bahá'í Mashriqu'l-Adhkar, better known as the "Lotus Temple", is open to all faiths and is a marvel of modern architecture. Shaped like a lotus, this temple's design of ethereal beauty and apparent simplicity belies the complex geometry underlying its execution in concrete form.
• Birla Temple: The Lakshminarayan Mandir built by B.D. Birla is a modern Hindu temple dedicated to Lakshmi (the Hindu Goddess of wealth) and Narayana (the preserver). The entire complex, especially the walls and the upper gallery are full of paintings carried out by artists from Jaipur in Rajasthan. The rear of the temple has been developed as an artificial mountainous landscape with fountains and waterfalls.
After this tour you will be taken back to your hotel. The tour ends at the hotel.
