This tour gives you the opportunity to taste some exquisite wine as you travel to Hungary’s famous wine producing region. The town of Eger is renowned for its excellent wines, notably the fiery red Bull’s Blood. Taste this, and some others at a local wine cellar that you will visit on this tour.

Eger is also one of the most attractive Baroque towns in Hungary, with a stunning basilica, one of the largest in Hungary. Built in Neo-Classical style, its architecture is impressive. You will also visit Eger’s 16th century castle.

Itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel and travel by coach/mini bus to Eger, a famous wine-producing region of Hungary. The region is particularly well-known for its fiery red wine, called the Bull’s Blood.

You will also visit the Basilica. Built in Neo-classical style, it is the second largest church in Hungary. Also included in this tour is a visit to the 16th century castle which overlooks the town.

You will stop in Ladies Valley for a three course lunch, which will be traditional Hungarian food such as fried chicken or turkey with potatoes or rice, followed by sponge cake.

Continue to a local wine cellar where you will enjoy a wine tasting session before returning to Budapest. The tour ends at Erzsebet Square.
