Itinerary

This food and wine tour begins from in front of the main gate of the Great Market hall on Vamhaz korut 1-3 in the IX. District. Please make your own arrangements to reach this place. You will be met by an English speaking guide who will accompany you on this tour.

You will first visit a local Hungarian food market where your guide will identify some typical local ingredients that are a staple in Hungarian meals. Learn about Hungarian food.

Then we visit to a typical local restaurant for our taster portion of the tour. Here you get to try the famous tasty beef goulash soup, two types of main courses with a garnish while washing it down with a beverage of choice (mineral water, soft drink, glass of wine or beer). After a typical Hungarian dessert is served.

Our last stop takes us to private wine shop and cellar for a wine tasting and lecture on the wines you try. We explain the deeper meaning behind Hungarian wines and the significance they played in history and how they are now shaping the wine world. Enjoy a 5-tier wine tasting.

Tour ends near to Opera house metro stop (VI. Dist.).
