The magnificent Caretta-Caretta or otherwise called Loggerhead Turtles are Zakynthos’ most famous inhabitants. Set off on a fun-filled journey as you search for these rare creatures on this fascinating Turtle Island cruise.

The loggerhead sea turtle known as the Caretta-Caretta has become an endangered specie that can only be found in the Mediterranean Sea. The turtles where leading a peaceful existence in the waters and beaches of Zakynthos Zante.

Itinerary

The tour begins from Mediterranean Laganas. Accompanied by an English-speaking guide, set out in an air-conditioned vehicle to the pier from you will board our boat and set out towards Turtle Island.

Sail around the beautiful peninsula of Vassilikos, to the paradise island of Marathonisi, locally referred to as Turtle Island, where you can spot the famous turtles. These are now, sadly, endangered species and are found only in the Mediterranean Sea.

This cruise also offers one of the best chances you’ll have to see dolphins.

Take a refreshing dip in the clear blue sea before continuing on to the caves of Keri and the lighthouse, one of the most photogenic views in Zakynthos.

Lunch is included and, weather permitting, there will be a stop at one of the islands’ fantastic beaches. Lunch can alternatively be served on board.

The tour returns to the starting point.
