Set out on a scenic cruise in the Ionian Sea on board the stylish ‘Ikaros’, visit three islands in one day and be fascinated by the stories each holds.

Skorpios is the private island and home to the famous Onassis family. A small portion of the shoreline has been set aside for visitors and you can enjoy a refreshing swim here.

See the lush green mountainous landscape of Lefkas, considered the ‘Jewel of the Ionian islands’. It is the only island linked to mainland Greece by a swing bridge. Explore its cosmopolitan resort, Nydri, and enjoy some free time here.

The secluded and beautifully unspoilt island of Meganissi offers excellent photo opportunities. With its sandy bays enclosed by wooded hillsides, it is a photographer’s paradise. Relax on board while learning of the history of the Papanikolis cave where submarines once were hidden during the war.

This cruise is the perfect way to see some of the greatest sights of the Ionian Islands.

Itinerary

The tour begins from Skala Square. Accompanied by an English-speaking guide, set out in an air-conditioned vehicle towards the port of Sami, on the East coast of Kefalonia. Board the stylish Ikaros and cruise towards three islands of the Ionian Sea. The boat will drop anchor at Skorpios, the private island and home to the famous Onassis family. Refresh yourself as you enjoy swimming in these scenic surroundings.

Just before the first swimming stop in one secluded beach, discover the hideaway of Papa Nikolis submarine. Relax on board while learning of the history of the Papanikolis Cave where submarines once were hidden during the war.

Continue the cruise, passing by the island of Meganissi which offers an excellent photo opportunity. Its wooded exterior and covered sandy bays make for delightful viewing. The second largest cave in the whole of Greece, although is not an authentic sea cave but a karts cave and is presently partially inundated by the sea.

Enjoy the sailing around the Skorpios - the miniature island pre owned by millionaire Aristotle Onassis. Visit the beach where he married Jackie Kennedy as guide recounts tales of the family.
