The meeting point for this tour is platform #22 inside the St. Lazare Train Station (Gare St. Lazare) in Paris. Travel by rail through the breathtakingly beautiful Normandy countryside to the village of Vernon. Collect your bikes and proceed for a visit of Monet’s gardens accompanied by an English speaking guide.
You will start by visiting the Vernon Farmer’s Market. Here you can purchase fruit, meat, honey, bread and drinks directly from their makers. You will stop nearby at a lovely spot on the riverbanks of the Seine where you can enjoy a picnic lunch.
After lunch ride your bikes along the riverbanks towards Monet's home. You will visit the following places which are related to the famous artist:
Monet’s Gardens: Admire the beautiful flowers, the Japanese bridge and the famous water lilies in the garden.
Monet’s House: Visit Monet’s house and see the art collection that reflects his fascination with Asian art.
Monet's Gravesite: See the Giverny church where Monet is buried along with his family.
After your cycling tour of Giverny you will return to Paris by train.
