There is no hotel pick-up. Arrive at the Tourist Information Centre, 12 cours du XXX Juillet 33080, Bordeaux Cedex. Your bilingual guide (English and French) will meet you here. Board an air-conditioned coach and set out for a gourmet wine and culinary tour in Margaux in the Medoc region.
Here is a time-wise break-up of your itinerary:
0930h (09:30am): Departure from Bordeaux Tourist Office city-center.
1000h (10:00am): The first stop will be at the Château Prieuré Lichine. Tuck into some delicious sturgeon paté while learning about the history of the Margaux appellation and the 1885 classification.
1130h (11:30am): The next stop will be at the Château Rauzan Gassies. Tour the vineyard and taste some potted foie gras.
1245h (12:45pm): Settled down to a gourmet lunch at “Le Savoie” restaurant.
1445h (2:45pm): Visit the Château Kirwan, a family-run vineyard and sample some homemade canelés.
1600h (4:00pm): Your last stop will at the Château La Tour de Bessan, where you will learn about the different grape varieties and the fine art of blending while sampling some chocolate vine shoots.
1800h (6:00pm): Return to Bordeaux.
