Take a trip to the temple of Luxor, one of the major tourist attractions in Egypt. The construction of the temple began during the reign of Amenhotep II. Further construction and expansion took place during the reign of King Ramses II of ancient Egypt. The Luxor temple is considered one of the largest ancient Egyptian temple complexes situated on the eastern bank of the river Nile. At the entrance is a huge tower built by King Ramses II. Marvel at ancient Egyptian architecture and trace the history of the royal dynasties that considered it a national shrine.
You will be picked up in an air-conditioned vehicle from your hotel in Luxor. Accompanied by a guide, you will be taken to the Luxor Temple.
It was constructed for the worship of godAmon Ra whose marriage anniversary to his wife (Mut) was celebrated once a year. The construction of the temple dates from Amenhotep II and Ramesses II. The entrance of the temple is a huge pylon constructed by Ramesses II. It has two huge statues representing the king seated.
After exploring the temple complex, you will be dropped back to your hotel in Luxor.
