Travel from Rio de Janeiro to Itacuruca, where you'll board a handsome schooner. A feast of luscious tropical fruits awaits you on board. Feel like a millionaire as you lie back and admire the seascape. Keep a look out for the rich wildlife of this famous bay. Exciting creatures you may encounter include dolphins, parrots, turtles and stingrays.

Swim in warm inviting waters before enjoying lunch on a palm-fringed tropical island. In the afternoon there will be time to explore the island before your return to Rio.

Itinerary

For your Tropical Islands Tour from Rio you will be picked up from your hotel (or the cruise port) in an air-conditioned coach. An English-speaking guide will accompany you on this full-day tour.

Your coach will take the Rio-Santos road to Itacuruça. There you will board a schooner (locally known as ‘saveiros’). A tray of tropical fruits will be served on board. A bar is also available on the boat (beverages, soft drinks and bottled water are not included in your tour price).

The schooner cruises Sepetiba Bay, an area rich in natural beauty, where you may spot dolphins, giant king-fishers, parrots, turtles and stingrays. After stopping for a swim, you will continue to an island where a delicious lunch buffet will be served. After lunch, there will still be time to explore the island before sailing back to Itacuruça.

The coach returns via Barra, a charming residential area of Rio, Americas Avenue and its modern shopping centers and buildings, Ayrton Senna Avenue and Sernambetiba Avenue, a hot-spot for night life.

You will get back to Rio at approximately 6:30pm and will be dropped off back at your hotel or the cruise port.
