Overview

Straddling the border between Brazil and Argentina, Iguassu Falls are magnificent however you look at them. But it is well-known that the best and most varied close-up views of this magnificent group of waterfalls can be found on the Argentina bank.

This delightful tour takes you from Brazil across the border to the National Park on the Argentinean side of the Falls. Here you can enjoy the many facilities – a train and a series of well-placed walkways – that allow you to get thrillingly close to the foaming cascades.

Wider and higher than the famed Niagara, Iguassa Falls is one of the greatest spectacles on the South American continent. Witness this natural wonder on a magical tour.

Itinerary

See Iguassu Falls from another perspective on the Excursion to Iguassu Falls – Argentina Side. On the morning of your tour, you will be picked up from your hotel in Foz do Iguassu in Brazil and driven across the border to the Argentina side of the Falls.

Located on the Iguazú River, on the boundary between Brazil and Argentina, Iguassu Falls is one of world’s most impressive cataracts – 60 feet higher than Niagara and about 1½ times as wide.

The name Iguassu comes from the Guaraní Indian word meaning ‘great water’. This delightful tour allows you to experience the awesome spectacle of the Iguassu from close quarters on the Argentinean side of the river.

The horseshoe-shaped Falls are more than 1½ miles across and punctuated with cliffs and islets. The foaming water plunges down a drop of around 300 foot in a series of more than 270 separate waterfalls.

From the Visitor Center you can head down trails or ride a picturesque train (included in the National Park ticket). There are two basic circuits: an upper path and a lower path. If you choose to walk, you will be able to enjoy the rich flora and the beautiful birds, butterflies (over 500 types in the area) as well as other animals.

The lower path (Paseo Inferior) leads to the base of the Falls where the headlong crash of the torrent releases a thick mist into the air. The upper path (Paseo Superior) leads you around the top rim of the precipice and affords breathtaking views from a strategically placed catwalk.

During the tour you will see stupendous views of the following famous waterfalls of the Iguassu complex: Salto Floriano, Salto Deodoro, Salto Benjamín Constant, Salto Unión, Salto Escondido, Salto Mitre, Salto Belgrano, Salto Rivadavia, Salto Tres Mosqueteros, Salto Dos Mosqueteros, Salto San Martín, Salto Adán y Eva, Salto Bozzetti, Salto Ramirez, Salto Chico, Salto Dos Hermanos and Salto Alvar Nuñez.

At the end of an adventurous and exciting tour you will be dropped back at your hotel.
