Itinerary

The Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb starts from from 5 Cumberland St, The Rocks. You can choose your preferred time of climbing and be at the starting point 15 minutes prior to the starting time.

Weave through catwalks, climb up ladders and, finally over the fabulous arch to get a bird’s eye view of Sydney. In the day, the shimmering blue waters of the Harbour and the glittering windows of the skyline are stunning.

At night the city is alive with vibrant light and colour. An absolute must for anyone who wishes to obtain a true perspective of Sydney from the best vantage point in the city.

The tour ends after you climb down from the bridge.

  • Things can happen and your plans can change, therefore we have negotiated flexible amendment and cancellation policies. In most cases no fees apply for changing dates up to a day before travel. Also, we are one of the very few companies who will not charge you any admin/ processing fees for cancellations. The confirmation voucher includes the local activity operator’s contact details and local telephone numbers at the destination. They will happily answer any logistical questions you may have.
Your expert climb leader will give you a thorough orientation on the climb and what to expect before you begin.
Climbers must take into account any medical condition that may impact on their ability to climb ladders and steep slopes safely. The BridgeClimb experience is moderately exerting, highly exhilarating and exposed to the weather.
All climbers must wear suitable enclosed rubber soled shoes such as runners, track or hiking shoes. PVC and leather soled shoes are unsuitable.
Climbers should be ready to wear a BridgeSuit over their existing clothing. Lockers are provided as no loose objects can be taken onto the bridge, including but not limited to cameras and video cameras.
BridgeClimb operates in all weather conditions with the exception of electrical storms. In the event a climb is cancelled, BridgeClimb will endeavour to offer an alternate departure.
Expectant mothers with normal pregnancies, up to the end of the second trimester (24 weeks) are permitted to climb,however they must consult a medical practitioner before climbing and must complete a Certificate of Fitness.

Hotel pick up not included. The Sydney Harbour Bridge Cimb departs from 5 Cumberland St, The Rocks. From Circular Quay, which is accessible by ferry, bus or train, walk along George Street, then up Argyle Street (take the Argyle Stairs) to Cumberland Street.
All Climbers are breath tested and must record a blood-alcohol reading of less than 0.05%, and are required to sign a Climber Declaration form to satisfy BridgeClimb’s terms and conditions.
25 Dec - Climbs are only available from 2:15pm onwards.

Dos & Don'ts

As no loose items are permitted on the Bridge, climbers are asked to remove and store these items in the lockers provided. All climbers must then pass through a metal detector.
