Itinerary

The Margaret River Tour And Gourmet Picnic is a flexible, all inclusive wine tour with a difference. At the start of the day you will be picked up from the Margaret River Visitor Centre (located at 100 Bussel Highway, Margaret River) in a luxury 4WD vehicle.

You will be accompanied on the trip by an expert guide who knows all about the wine industry, local ecology, geology and Aboriginal/European History.

The picturesque Margaret River region is renowned for its stunning beaches, majestic forests, and spectacular caves, and for its wonderful food and wine.

At the start of the tour, you will have the chance to canoe the tranquil Margaret River (optional) before taking a luxury 4WD trip to the dreamtime site of Meekadarabee Falls. Here your knowledgeable guide will explain the significance of the Falls in Aboriginal legend.

Afterwards you will be treated to a gourmet picnic lunch of locally sourced produce – including cheese, olives, ham, trout, bread and spreads – in the barrel room at Fraser Gallop Estate, an acclaimed small winery. Your picnic will be accompanied by wines such as Semillon Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Merlot. You will also have the chance to meet a former Australian Winemaker of the Year – Clive Otto.

When lunch is over you will enjoy an exciting 4WD adventure in which you’ll discover stunning locations you would not be able to find without local knowledge. You will see tall karri forests and a rich diversity of wildflowers (seasonal) and birds.

The day ends on the Cape to Cape walking track where you will experience the spectacularly rugged Wilyabrup cliffs, and view the occasional passing whale and pounding surf below.

At the end of the tour you will be dropped back at the starting point.
