The featured cars also highlight the life of the late King Hussein and his reign..Rare photo archives and video footage are shown throughout the museum, highlighting the many aspects of the late King Hussein’s leadership. A multimedia room, a library as well as a souvenir shop are available to enable a comprehensive historical experience.

Car buffs can feast their eyes on a 1952 Lincoln Capri, a 1936 Cord 810 and a sport 1955 Mercedes Benz 300SL which are just a few of the ‘wheels’ on display.

Entrance fees to all sites are included and you have the choice to explore the sites independently or enlist the services and knowledge of a local guide.

    Itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel in a private air-conditioned car/mini van and taken on a sightseeing tour of the Royal Automobile Museum.

This museum depicts the history of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan through the exhibited cars from the era of King Abdullah I, the founder of the Kingdom, to the era of King Abdullah II (1920s till the present.) The featured cars also highlight the life of the late King Hussein and his reign, as well as the many aspects of his leadership. These exhibits retell the development of the kingdom, keeping pace with the automotive advancement of the country and its transformation since the Great Arab Revolt during World War I.

An exceptional collector's item is a sport 1955 Mercedes Benz 300SL "Gullwing" that the late King Hussein used to race at Jordan's Rumman Hill-Climb.

At the end of an enjoyable day spent re-creating the Bedouin past, you will be dropped back at your hotel in Petra.
