Arrive early at Accademia Gallery to be the first ones to enter the premises. Then, at this point I your Florence trip, make your way to the Statue of David with your guide. You’ll also be able to see the unfinished Slaves that Michelangelo never completed, while your guide explains about the Statue of David and the life of Michelangelo. It’s what to do in Florence!

Afterwards, make your way to one of the most iconic landmarks in Florence: The Duomo. Also called the Santa Maria del Fiore, this domed cathedral is one of the most recognized features of Florence. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate guests with mobility impairments, wheelchairs, or strollers on this tour.

This is a walking tour. Guests should be able to walk at a moderate pace without difficulty.

We advise our clients that the Cathedral of Florence is subject to closure during special celebrations/festivities, including the Easter ceremonies. If this occurs during your visit, we will run an alternative itinerary that includes an explanation of the Cathedral from the outside and extra highlights of the city center. We are unable to provide refunds or discounts.

Please remember that the Duomo is a holy place and attire must be appropriate for the visit. Both men and women are asked to wear clothing that covers at least the shoulders and knees. Walks of Italy will not be held responsible if entry is denied due to improper dress.

We ask all guests (including children) bring ID on the day of their tour.

Due to conditions inside the Duomo (463 steps and fairly narrow), wheelchairs, those with limited mobility, and anyone with claustrophobia cannot be accommodated on this tour.

Due to the religious nature of the Cathedral, all individuals regardless of gender must cover their shoulders and knees. You can bring extra covering (scarves, etc) to put on just before entering the Cathedral.

Due to security reasons children under 7 years of age aren't allowed to climb to the Terraces. Minors under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult to climb the Terraces.
