Treat yourself to a beautiful sunrise at Borobudur Temple as you start your day trip in Yogyakarta followed by a visit to the Chicken Church! Be picked up from your hotel and head to Borobudur temple to witness the breathtaking sunrise. Here you have the option to hire a local guide and learn about the history of the area.

This is one of world's truly great ancient monuments, the single largest Buddhist structure anywhere on earth. Set as it is in the heart of the verdant Kedu Plain, the backdrop of mighty active volcanoes only enhances the sense of awe.

Continue your tour to visit a giant cement chicken roosting on a forested hill overlooking Borobudur is perhaps a little unexpected, but this is not a cock-and-bull story! The building was initiated by businessman Daniel Alamsyah in the 1990s. Finish the tour with a visit to Merapi and explore Merapi Volcano Lapa and the Village by a jeep. It is one of the world's most active and dangerous volcanoes!
