For those looking for a shorter Grand Canyon tour, this 90-minute helicopter flight is the perfect solution.

In a small group (just 6 passengers per helicopter) you will soar like an eagle over landscapes of matchless grandeur and beauty on your way to the wild West Rim of the Canyon. Enjoy spectacular views of the magnificent Hoover Dam and glittering Lake Mead en route.

On the return journey your pilot will take you directly over the sparkle and glitz of the Las Vegas strip. What a contrast to the rugged desert landscapes you have just flown over!

Itinerary

Experience the wonder of the Grand Canyon and the Mojave desert as well as the Las Vegas Strip - from the sky! Start with Papillon luxury shuttle transportation from your Las Vegas hotel to the Grand Canyon Helicopter Terminal near McCarran Airport. After boarding your helicopter sit back in your comfortable seat enjoy sights such as Mojave Desert, volcanic bone yard of the black mountains, Hoover Dam and so on.

As you sweep over some of the most spectacular scenery on the planet, you will enjoy choreographed music and an informative audio-guide in a choice of 11 languages (Mandarin, Cantonese, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish).

On the way, you will see awesome views of the massive Hoover Dam, one of the world’s greatest engineering achievements, and the sparkling waters of Lake Mead. As well as some lesser-known natural features of the area such as such as the 12 mile (20 km) long Grand Wash Cliffs, on the western edge of the Colorado plateau, and the Grapevine Mesa. This flat-topped plateau is capped by a layer of limestone that once formed the floor of an ancient lake. You will also fly over the Black Mountains wilderness area home to the rare bighorn sheep.

When you reach the West Rim of the Canyon, hold your breath as your chopper dips beneath the edge and flies you a short way between the massive rock walls. Your pilot will head back and give you the chance to see the spectacular scenery from another angle.

Your return journey to Las Vegas takes around 45 minutes. On the way back your pilot will fly you over the dazzling neon of the world- famous Las Vegas Strip. Look out for the great hotels and resorts that Vegas is famous for – New York, New York, the iconic replica Eiffel Tower, the Luxor’s pyramid, Treasure Island and the monumental buildings of Caesars’ Palace.

On reaching the Las Vegas McCarran Executive Terminal you will board your coach for the return to your hotel, where your delightful tour ends.
