We all know and love their fiery and delicious cuisine \u2013 Mexico\u2019s tacos, Brazil\u2019s barbecues and Argentina\u2019s steak \u2013 but some of their culinary inventions are more imaginative than others. Not a flavour combination you\u2019ll find at Walls or Haagen Dasz but surprisingly delicious. It\u2019s like a Colombian walked into a fondue restaurant, misunderstood the concept, and ended up with molten chocolate and oozing cheese in the same pot. I wasn\u2019t bowled over by this one and sourcing a photo that didn\u2019t set my stomach churning wasn\u2019t easy. It\u2019s horse in France, dog in China\u2026and guinea pig in Peru. Like chicken but far less meaty. Don\u2019t fancy eating your childhood pet? This is the only one of the list I haven\u2019t &#8211; and won\u2019t ever \u2013 try. It\u2019s an illegal delicacy that Nicaragua is working to eradicate.
